In 1984, this fifty gallon per minute spring was pristine drinking water emerging from the Lower Connecticut River Aquifer, and flowing into the Ammonoosuc River in Bethlehem, NH USA.
Casella's landfill sits 2500 feet from the Ammonoosuc River
Casella's landfill liner prevents oxygen from entering the underlying soils, producing an ideal environment for Iron / Manganese Bacteria.
Since 1984 the spring has been contaminated with Iron / Manganese Bacteria which produces an oily residue waste product.
@dudehorner well what are we doing about all this? see the videos at MayaBell (dot com) and start organizing people.
