The Royal Canadian Mounted Police(RCMP) Musical Ride is a key symbol for Canada so naturally is appearing as part of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics celebrations in Surrey BC. Since 1887, the Musical Ride has been dazzling crowds as the troop performs intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music. The Musical Ride is performed by a full troop of thirty-two riders and horses, plus the member in charge. Demanding utmost control, timing and coordination, these movements are formed by individual horses and riders, in two's, four's and eight's at the trot and at the canter.
