Ken Griffey Homers off of Jered Weaver in the bottom of the 5th inning at Safeco Field. The homerun was hit right after Endy Chavez hit his first homerun as a Mariner, making it a back-to-back shot.

The homerun was Griffey's 400th as a Mariner and 613 for his career.

The Mariners went on to win the game 11-3
