California, Please Vote No On Proposition 8

Hi California! We need your help. Please, vote No on Proposition 8. It's an anti-marriage amendment that will ban healthy, stable couples from getting married. The Prop 8 people claim that it protects education and religious freedom -- but that simply isn't true. Please protect marriage by voting NO on Prop 8.

@GodCreatesGays2 Once again, they put it up to a vote. Those of us who don't agree with gay marriage voted against it. By your logic, anyone that doesn't agree with gay marriage is a bigot and full of hate without taking into consideration that maybe it's not homosexuals per se that we want to ban, but simply we do not feel that gay marriage should be recognized. That's our right to feel that way and we stand by it. Maybe you should stop playing the victim and see both sides of the coin.

Except it's not. The virulent anti-gay zealots have no idea what you are talking about, which DOES explain why you're so confused about the issue at hand, I suppose, but clearly reveals why you don't have the resources to discuss this issue. Saying gay rights are based on a behavior is akin to claiming black people's struggles for equality was merely an issue of bus etiquette.

@LTDViperDeli, bigotry has often made gains throughout history, but in the end, decency win out. They always do. Bigots "won" the right to ban interracial and interfaith marriage too, for a while. As the prejudiced age and die off, however, the younger, better educated, and rational population overturns idiotic, repressive "laws" that were once seen as victories. Ask the proponents of the Jim Crow and miscegenation laws. They were thrilled to denigrate minorities too, while they could.
