It's a fabulous concept, now I just need to shell out the couple hundred for a projector...X_X

@JonHyers I see, but I happen to be a filmmaker myself, and I see real-time effects like this to be far superior to CG.
My point is, this technique has great potential in all forms of storytelling.

These should be used in effects-heavy movies. That way, actors will be able to see the actual object rather than talk to a tennis ball.

A very good promo for my teens and their friends. Hope to see more soon.

Hello: Thanks much. Yes you can easily get a good projector on ebay for $200-$300, usually older, but originally $4000 new. Wonderwall which is sold a lot o, is a good alternative also.

Yes doable in some situations. I'm not promoting the technique much to filmmakers, as they like Bluescreen.
SEARCH "Harry Murdoch" I use projectionFX in this film.

So is the 3d accomplished by viewing the image from a certain perspective? Kind of like the street artist who makes chalk paintings that look 3d from a certain angle and stretched or skewed when viewed from another angle.

Similar but not exactly like the street artist. It's created as a dynamic 3D image, so it's viewable from a much wider range, and skewed from the back. It also depends on the image, some are movie screen type images that appear 3D as they open doors, and others are designed for straight down viewing. There's many images, many situations, and growing applications to the effects

Thanks for the kind words. You can order these from me. I usually offer a discount to youtube viewers. Just understand these aren't priced LOW like hollywood films that already earned 100 Million in profit. jon.hyers@comcast.net Email me for details on ordering
