I wasn't good at the time of this video, but i am still no expert
I hope this helps you.
ALSO! Sorry for the false information. The CUT is not a sign of danger. A sign of danger is the Alarmed Putt. It is a series of putts but it is very slow like PUTT....PUTT....PUTT....PUTT you will hear it in singles.

  • im much better now bro this was when i just got the call and was learning. i was just trying to give some advice other videos that i saw didnt have you know?

  • a frame tripple is what i used. the v cut one

  • hey real good vid.. its nice for people just starting up.. one thing i would say though is that the cut is not a sign of danger.. The cut does not alert other turkeys of danger.. The ALARM PUTT does alert them to danger and usually sounds like a cluck but is louder and more aggressive and is in a easy recognizable pattern... like this..

    PUTT...PUTT...PUTT...PUTT

these calls are loud and rest between puts is around 1-2 seconds..

  • Thanks for informing me. I did not know. I will put that edit in my description. Thanks!

  • thanks bro

  • I'm no world champ...but as hunters it's important to share our 2 cents. ;-)

How I like to make the purr: put the call in your mouth....think like you're hocking one...sort of the same motions....work it so that the back of your tongue vibrates. I find that this method sounds more realistic that the one where you vibrate your lips or the front of your tongue.

I thought the yelp was pretty good.

  • thanks for making this video... I never could use a mouth call as much as i tried, so whenever i call a gobbler into range, i have to shut up and have nothing to coax them in with b/c of movement..even after watchin professional demo's...they assume you know the basics, but i dont...you covered it perfectly...i watched this about an hour ago..pulled out my mouth call, and i'm making calls good enough to call in a bird...5 stars, thanks a lot for makin it simple

  • walk around witth it in your mouth and get used to it. it works.
