  • Not sure why anyone would say Ripper does this song better.....this guy is way better. Ripper has his moments. Saw him with the Dio Disciples and he was good....I thought he sucked doing the Priest stuff. This guy is better to me.

  • Please this guy is a great singer...NO he is not ROB but what the hell it is a Tribute Band and he(they) are doing great ....so calm down ;)

  • @burnthiscorpse

mickeysnakeboy1960 said it first. I was just backing him up since you asked if he was drunk. I wasn't trying to open your eyes, I was trying to open your ears....you know....those things on the SIDE of your head, not the front. You shouldn't talk without being able to back it up. There's a reason Rob came back to Priest. Oh sure, people wanted to hear what Ripper sounded like, out of morbid curiosity, but then the fan base bailed on them. He's been a scab ever since.

  • You seem pretty butt hurt about this. I'm sorry I'll start taking your advice and change my opinion to Ripper sucks. Thank you for enlightening me. You have truely opened my eyes.

  • @burnthiscorpse

Dude, Ripper sucks. Period. There's only one Halford. Period. End of story.

In case you forgot, this is LIVE. Go check out your boy Ripper doing this song live.....he sucks. He sucked with Iced Earth, he sucked with Beyond Fear, his solo stuff was HORRIBLE, and he absolutely BUTCHERS Malmsteen's stuff. Yngwie should kick his baseball hat wearing ass off the stage.

  • Priest fan and Ripper fan. Halford fan more so than anything. If you want to be critical of a band trying to pay "tribute" to the great Priest, this guys vocal tone isnt all that close to Halford. He can hit the notes but thats about it. His low register is shakey and his pronounciation is not Halford esq. He doesnt have the control Halford or Ripper have. nor is it Ripper esq. Is he good enough to be in a Priest tribute? Yeah, sure. But he doesnt come close to Ripper or Halford talent wise.

  • @burnthiscorpse

Sounds way better than Ripper.....compare the two and judge for yourself (you are on youtube you know). I think your memory of his version is better than the reality it. The band, goofy bassist and all, is also much better. They play it at the right speed and the correct solos....like Unleashed in the East!! Are you a Priest fan or a Ripper fan? If you say Priest, Judas Rising's version is much closer.....just sayin'!

  • Awsome,Tribute Bad bloody good

  • Beats Ripper? Are you fucking drunk?

That said, he's one of the only Halford actors I have seen thats even close to worthy of being in a Tribute to Priest. 99.9% of them suck hard. This guy is actually good. But seriously....dude....shave your goddamn head. Halford never had a mullet. Also take that doofy looking bass player and stick him back behind the guitarist where Ian Hill normally is and your all set.

  • beats the Ripper fer sure...
