Dr. Richard Walker Senior Pastor of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs Georgia continues his sermon series on Spiritual Warfare. (www.maclandbaptist.org)

This message entitled, "The Keys to Victory in Spiritual Warfare" takes a shift from the previous messages that focused on the personalities or identities of those beings that make up the spiritual world including Lucifer the fallen angel now known as Satan, demon spirits the fallen angels that are now governed by Satan himself, contrasted by The Holy Spirit who is not a created being but, He is the creator and He is our source of power and strength as we engage in spiritual warfare. The Holy Spirit is the one who is to be our comforter, our helper, our advocate. He's our instructor. He's our source of power and strength and we can't function and we will never stand victorious without Him.

The emphasis of this message is on the major activities that take place and these are nothing less than "All out war." Christians are in a spiritual battle and war. Satan does not take breaks, rest, or a truce. In previous centuries, during war, there would be a time to stop for religious holidays or to tend to the wounded. There is no break in this spiritual war. I Peter 5:8 states, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour;"

This is not a physical battle. It is not a battle of intellect, programs, slogans or finances, it is a spiritual battle and unless we learn to fight it the way that God has directed and take upon ourselves the weapons and armament of warfare then we are going down in defeat. We need to wage this war according to the pattern that the Bible teaches us and we need to make use of these weapons of warfare that God has made and given to us.

1. We are to be strong in the Lord. David was not in a constant spiritual state of readiness in II Samuel chapters 11 and 12. We better be ready because Satan is always ready. He is looking for an opening. Like in boxing, the opponent dances around until they find a weakness. We have to be strong in the Lord every day because if we relax just one day it could wreck
us spiritually.

The message is continued on the next clip noted with a B at the end where we learn that the battle is not a one time event. We depend on the Lord more every day to be made stronger and stronger. The next points we are to take up the whole armor of God and We are to stand, withstand, and then remain standing.

Thank you for viewing this video clip. Please stop by Macland for a visit on Sunday morning, Sunday evening or Wednesday evening. Visit the church web-site at www.maclandbaptist.org for more information about the church.
