  • Great Flashbacks. I remember great fried shrimp and french fries "Fish n Chips" at an open restaurant that you ate outside on benches... "Barneys". We bought our groceries at Geonella's Grocery store (sorry if mispelled) and went to the movies at the Strand and the Colonial theatres. Must have seen "Night of the Living Dead" every nite of the whole summer. I still have plastic and metal beach badges from back then. The days of the best pinball. 3 games for a quarter! (60s-70s). Good times!

  • Loved it! And linking it to my Seaside Heights history website.

  • ty i cannot believe how much different it looks today

  • The Casino Pool still exists, underneath the superstructure of the original Water Works, now Jenkinson's Breakwater Beach. It is inoperative in its current state, but was preserved. It's last season was 1986.

  • Thanks for posting. Are these yours? The pool in the video must have been the local pool in Seaside. There are pictures of my sister, parents and grandparents in that pool from 1975...my sister was about two at the time. By the time I was born ('83) I am pretty sure the pool was gone. Am I mistaken or was the pool where Water Works (now Jenkinsen's, but will always be Water Works to me) is today? Anyway thanks for the post...it's now in my favorites.

  • @crazze6163 Yeah...I remember the Swiss Bob. They had it on the pier until the early nineties. There are home movies of my cousin and I on the ride.

  • Thank you for giving back to me some of my teenage years. It was so innocent back then -- not without heavy making out! -- but still innocent. It's a shame that trash like "jersey shore" or whatever it's called, gives the wrong impression.

  • Oh my God the Swiss Bob!! I could remember all the cool top 40 music that the ride operator blasted from that ride. Ride the Swisssssssssss Bobbbbbbbbbb!

  • As kid in the summer of 71 we had a house on hering ave (north ssh)

this brings back GREAT memories--the swiss bob....fastest ride on the boardwalk

    thanx for posting

  • i live in jefferson :D:D:D:D:D
