A van is parked out on the ice. The ice cracks and the van falls through... bobbing..... bubbling.. as it sinks to the bottom. The van is a model as is the set. It recreates a former cultural past time in the some frozen towns of Canada. Vehicles were parked out onto the frozen lake and bets would be placed as to when the weight of the van would eventually crumble through the thawing ice and sink to the lake bottom. Needless to say this doesn't happen anymore.

A special thanks to the Banff Centre for the Arts.
