A girl in Bolivia in 2007 is overwhelmed by a shoebox gift she received from Canada. Imagine a Canadian kid opening the same gift at Christmas. Operation Christmas Child is an opportunity for Canadians to give a personal gift of hope to a child suffering from war, poverty, disease or disaster. Operation Christmas Child provides hope for today, and Samaritan's Purse provides resources to secure a better tomorrow. Read more stories at www.samaritanspurse.ca

  • My heart ZINGS at the joyful expressions of these beautiful children!

  • they love that stuff so much it means the world to them<3

  • OCC not only brings gifts to this child but it brings her the knowledge of Jesus Christ. How touching that one single shoebox can, in some cases, change a child's life.

  • @stopbeingnasty The guy filming asks her what she has in the bag. She opens it and says candy (dulces). The lady asks her what her name is, and she answers. Then the guy asks her how old she is. It sounds like she says "no se", which means "I don't know".

  • i wish there were english sub titles...but just from her body language i can see that that simple gift equates to Hope, Joy and loads of Love...God Bless samaritans purse!!!

  • Just beautiful to watch.

  • @MyloMimmo

$7 isn't a down- its barely anything at all, and they need money to send them.

  • Today is PROJECT FOR AWESOME and I made a video to promote the charity Operation Christmas Child. Please go view my video and then VOTE (thumbs up icon) and leave a COMMENT. The more people do that, the more money will be donated tol it. But it must be TODAY !!!

    Thanks for the help.

  • It's great to see the kids are so happy

  • I cannot personally go to these places, build homes, provide clean water, good food, proper education, and warm clothing. I cannot provide all the necessities these children need. BUT, I CAN send a small box filled with things children enjoy. If it provides a smile, if it gives joy, and if it lets them know someone out there cared.... well, I think that's a fantastic thing! <3
