This is some of the fun we have at the sanctuary every Saturday, the horses and ponies are absolutely amazing and though they have been through soooo much, they dont let it get them down!!
Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary began as a sanctuary for abused horses, but it now caters for dogs and cats plus a few other small animals.
It is situated in a peaceful rural setting below Tardree Forest, only 5 minutes from the M2 exit for Antrim in Northern Ireland.
We all love helping out Lyn alot and buying stuff for the horses even though we don't have to
Theres lots of hardwork that we do but none of us mind because when you see the animals get better it's all worth while and we have so much fun doing it all anyway

I wish we had been allowed to ride when I was there. I did get to ride the late Barney once, though.

Bless you folks...are you still continuing to help abused horses ? I have read a couple of articles about abandoned horses in Ireland. It seems that the previous owners are no longer able to feed them due to the crisis. Horses are trying to find food among the garbage, they are exchanged for 50€ or a mobile phone or used in some stupid horse race on the roads ....it just seems so disgraceful ...there eyes seem to say "we do not understand why this is done to us"
