  • Asking an angel is something Jehovah's witnesses don't do.

Its more like they believe Jesus is Michael.

  • @byranmichelle They don't pray to Jesus ? You make some interesting points

  • Daniel 10:13

Btw......it is written......"one of the chief princes" not the "the chief prince"

    nor

"commander of The LORD'S ARMY"....or better translated "commander of YHWH'S army".

Is this something you came up with yourself.....or is this something you were taught?

Back this up with sound doctrine if you can!

Back up what you say you believe by whats been written, not man's traditions!

  • @byranmichelle In the book of Daniel, Michael appears as "one of the chief princes Michael is also described there as the advocate of the Children of Israel and as a "great prince who stands up for the children of your [Daniel's] people"....got it from Wikipedia and yes he is commander of the YHWH army

  • Why would we pray to the angels?

    unless we speaking about

    "the angel of The LORD"......

the one that said he was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Show me in the writings the believers praying to any other angel other than

    "The Angel of The LORD"

Imho.....this sounds very Catholic. I don't know of any others in Christendom that practice doing them kinda things.

  • @byranmichelle Eastern orthodox also venerate Michael ....yes the Anglicans don't pray to Michael they just build churches in Saint Michaels name and worship in the church....the Coptic churches are named after him and Some early Protestant scholars identified Michael with the pre-incarnate Chris and Jehovah Witnesses

Are you sure its just a Catholic thing

  • But I don't call our FATHER in Heaven Lord!

I hear that all the time when people pray, and it troubles my heart!

I'm not sure who they are praying to.....they usually start off with FATHER.......but then I hear them call HIM Lord.....

I believe I know why, but you can't back that up with the writings.

  • Btw.....what do you consider praying?

    Pray....talk.....directing my words without speaking......

I do ......to my Lord Jesus and to the God and Father of our Lord.

I speak/pray to both of THEM.

    Fe

  • Who we talking bout?

    "praying to Jesus"

  • Wikipedia?

You getting a whole lot of the world from there! Sure I use it too, but everything on there isn't accurate.

  • Its says one of the chief princes, that doesn't mean he's commander of YHWH army. It means he's "one of the chiefs, not "commander of the army"

"The Angel of YHWH" is the commander!

  • Pre-incarnate Christ?

you must mean before "the Word" became flesh.....before Yeshua became a man like us...before He laid down His life.

Theres gains of truth from everyone.....but everything they say isn't true.

I study the "New world translation" along with all the other translations....

I personally like how it words parts of the gospel of "John",

    They have taken a

    non-trintrian veiw point....

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was "a" God."
