Area schools start on Tuesday
Minnetonka School District students head back to their classrooms on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Every school in the district has gone through some construction project over the spring and summer, and projects should be completed for the students' return.
Most schools are getting new classrooms, including the elementary schools. Clear Springs, Excelsior, Groveland and Scenic Heights elementary schools are getting four classrooms. Deephaven Elementary is getting one new classroom, and Minnewashta Elementary is getting three new classrooms and a gymnasium.
Students in Orono and Wayzata will also get back in the swing of things on Tuesday. Hopkins started its school year this week.
