CV90120 Tank has been developed to meet international demand for a lighter main battle tank.

It has similar fire power to current main battle tanks and is both cost-effective and gives superior tactical and strategic mobility. The CV90120 Tank fulfils these requirements and additionally provides outstanding survivability through an integrated modular Defensive Aid Suite (DAS) for today´s fragmented and multispectral battlefield.

CV90120 Tank fires all standard NATO 120mm smooth bore ammunition and is equipped with state of the art technology, including an information technology network (VIS), improving operational capability. The modular Defensive Aid Suite (DAS), including Laser, Radar and Missile Approach warners, is installed.

Survivability is enhanced through the Multi-Spectral Aerosol (MSA), active countermeasure system and the top attack radar, identifying smart indirect munitions.

  • the tank is swedish and it was maded in sweden. the company is now britich but allmost all enginerers are swedish. " The Combat Vehicle 90 (CV90) or Stridsfordon 90 (Strf 90) is a Swedish infantry fighting vehicle designed by Hägglunds where the first generation was fitted with a Bofors turret. It is currently produced by BAE Systems Hägglunds."youtube.com/watch?v=LKdwuOxYRI4 .

  • @TheARMAProductions Exactly, couldn't say it better.

  • @TheARMAProductions the days arnt 1945 there are good radars and other stuff to find stuff. also USA can mass produce stuff and it has hight quality... look at the gulf war m1 vs t72's

  • @TheARMAProductions Well, fast products is a good in a way too, just look at World War 2 in the war between Soviet Russia and Germany. Germany may have destroyed 10x more than they lost, but they did not replace those they lost fast enough. Quantity do win over quality in most cases.

  • @TheARMAProductions Yes, you're all correct. Seens Sweden and the UK only been on war on paper it seems we'll never actually fight an actual war against but only togheter ;) And I assure you, with us in the EU, we cant be neutral in an European war again.

  • @qelleri Guess what: asymmetric warfare is all we got. Germany isn't invading France again any time soon, nor Russia into Hungary. China isn't invading India or Mongolia, and forget the desert countries: 1973 showed that armor in the open without air parity are rolling coffins. See Desert Storm I for an update on that concept. What are we left with? Who is gonna buy this thing...and so far the answer is nobody.

  • @TheARMAProductions And all veichles, weapons and more that actually is made by Hägglunds and Bofors today is made by Swedish engineers and not British, but after all, the brits own the companies with the Swedish government who actually funds most parts of Bofors beacuse of the cooperation with the Swedish Armed Forces.

  • @TheARMAProductions The CV90 was first made when Bofors and Hägglunds still was Swedish!

  • @iThinkThereforeiCan This vehicle is not made for asymmetric warfare. This is also not a MBT. It´s more like a swedish equivalent for MGS Stryker.

  • Worthless. Asymmetric warfare has shown that MBTs need max protection.

If the US had these in Iraq instead of the M1, tank casualties would be much, much higher.

Further the M1 with the 120mm gun has yet to engage a target that it could not defeat with a 105mm gun.

What is the max frontal protection offered by this 'medium tank'? 40mm?

  • @rayner8934 Nope, CV90 is a Swedish made tank, it was probably modified by BAE to meet British demands.

  • bae is british. it is a british tank

  • @Pringles352 Swedish

  • IS THAT BRITISH?

  • @aAgent86 ahhhhhh..... ok

  • @misterperfekt1001 yer ok lol, i was being sarcastic ! : )

  • @aAgent86 that what it burns is the MSA(Multi Spectral Aerosol),to iritate laser and radar guided missiles!

  • think its burning a bit of oil there at the end!

  • If I was a cat my ears would be standing up and I would be saying "OOOHHHHHH..DO WANT!"

  • very nice! it would be nice if my country orders a few ( holland) cuz we already have the apc version in service, its a very nice machine to
