Due to a crazy traffic jam, I was 15 minutes late to this seminar. However, what I was able to film was good stuff. A nice introduction into permaculture.
Jenny Nazak, of the Austin Permaculture Guild (http://permie.us), will present the ever-popular Introduction to Permaculture. Permaculture is "a design system for creating sustainable human environments," according to founder Bill Mollison, whether we are in charge of a large piece of acreage in the country or a simple urban or suburban lot. Using permaculture principles allows us to recognize and take advantage of the assets on our unique piece of land, conserving water, producing enough food for ourselves and our community, and conserving energy including our own! Jenny Nazak is the public relations coordinator of the Austin Permaculture Guild. Along with permaculture, she teaches solar cooking and other aspects of household sustainability.
The Natural Gardener is a garden shop, nursery and teaching facility dedicated to promoting organic, time-tested gardening practices. We offer native and adapted plants and outstanding bulk and bagged soils.
Their mission is to create a sustainable business that provides Texas gardeners and landscapers with quality customer service, information and education on well-adapted plants, organic products and techniques.

Have you seen the guy that has swamps on for miles that he designed himself and it supposely creates an amazing ecosystem? If i recall, its almost an endless supply of food. Only thing is a lot of land was used just for fish raising.

@fleshtheworld No, I haven't. Sounds like an awesome testament to the power of permaculture, though. If you get a name, link or video, please post it here or email me. Thanks for watching!

Search for 'Dan Barber: How I fell in love with a fish'. Its amazing how i couldnt find the video until i looked into my memory bank all i could to find clues of where i saw it from. Spread the world and talk to others about it. I dont know how great it really is, but the speaker made it sound like its an amazing thing :)
