@GodricDonolexious if you want to go at it that way than i go at it a little ways before even MAB. I mean Ed Van Halen has always picked really fast and done some minor arpeggio stuff, for instance in somebody get me a doctor or hot for teacher, etc. I've watched most of those you've listed. Paul Gilbert Buckethead and Yngwie, are nothing short of incredible, along with Petrucci, Vai is not a shredder. He's got the most unique style out there but not a shredder

@Sean2592 "none come close to MAB" hmm, what about: Buckethead, Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Theodore Ziras, Shawn Lane, John Petrucci, Steve Vai. i can list atleast 20 more... there are many that are a shit load faster then MAB like that guy (cant remember his name) who's alternate picking speed was clocked at 28 notes per second.

@chadmbedwell he's definitely and innovator I myself consider Van Halen the Einstein of the electric guitar because he was the first guy to fuck with his shit, if your playing anything with a whammy bar and a humbucker in your guitar you can thank Edward for that. Not to mention he put the first effects pedal board together, and i could go on. But as far as shredding goes. None come close to MAB,He is definitely up there.

@Sean2592 DaMN Right!!!! He's the Best Guitarsit on the Fucking Planet,Hell he's 100 years ahead of his time! He's Like Einstien or Bill Gates on the Guitar...Can't no other human being Play as Fast as he does,Oh I have seen Many Many Shredders Starting,From people say his Closest Adversary Yngwie Malmsteen. Hey I Like Malmsteen very much,But he don't Hold a Candle to this Man. MAB is the Best!!!!!!!!
