The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) is the Air Force branch of the Australian Defence Force. The RAAF has taken part in many of the 20th century's major conflicts including both World Wars, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. More recently the RAAF participated in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. @antzz1077 doing my pilot selection next year mate. Unfortunately Aussies aren't going to get the VTOL versions, as we have no carriers. But these things can really pack a punch with their payloads. Apparently pilots have a special way of breathing to make sure they don't pass out. Hopefully I'll get to fly one of these badboys.

I'D go a third carrier, just to be sure, and id go at least 20 new subs instead of 12. Plus a manned space program.

@BusinessKi11ER those people have no idea then, ive seen the f-35 when i did my pilot selection for the ADF and it is a very good aircraft. People always complain that it doesnt have range or capacity of other aircraft, but thats not what its for...its a stealth fighter not a multi-role fighter, we have f-18 super hornet for our bomb runs, and besides it can take off vertically...which is what appealed to us in the first place.
