  • Why did you leave out the fact that your son and his wife were drug addicts? I found his page on facebook and he is a fan of narcotics anonymous , not that that doesn't imly that he isnt clean now but most addicts dont get help til its too late which would probably be the case with this issue . Being a "progressive" activist already puts you in the class of people with no class that will say anything and even use children as human sheilds like your occupy friends are doing.

  • Ok...it's two years later and the country is about to go belly-up. Any suggestions on how we pay for this fiasco? The Federal government was never intended to be our mommy. It's powers and limitations are clearly delineated in the Constitution. Furthermore, are you going to answer TxTee's question?

  • If your daughter-inlaw was in a hospital, then what would insurance have done for her? She did not die without treatment or on the street, she was not turned away. This health bill is about the economic future of the country and clouding judgement with one example (sans facts) is not helpful.

  • Ms. Hough,

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter-in-law and unborn baby. If it is not too much trouble could fill in some details about what happened at the hospital in which Jennifer died. Was she not given adequate treatment? How would have health insurance improved her treatment? Why didn't your son and daughter-in-law have health insurance?

    Thank you.

  • This is terrible. Stories like this are why health care reform with a public option *must* pass. How many more innocent people must die needlessly in this country?!
