  • Elton's voice in this video is amazing!! I've never heard him sing like this before.

  • I reckon of all Elton's performances of this song, this is best version piano-wise. I'm not fond of his newly-developed style of singing that begun in 1979 as he pronounces things weird.

    I know what Elton means about playing whilst people are eating. I once played 'Song For Guy' at my school and I think ever since, my head teacher at school appreciated my playing even more. One time, he pushed the piano towards the cafeteria at lunch, but I felt awkward about playing to people who were eating.
