back then defenders didn't exist they only marked the guy forcing him to make a mistake ir intercept a ball, there were no Terry's or Cannavaro's or Nesta's back then..

you have surely not been following football long and you are some wannabe fan i suppose as you havent heard about the Alberto's and the Beckenbaur's and the other greats who used to play no non-sense defending, and make it harder to get past them... Terry is no where near to being the best defender yet...

Bollocks. Maradona wasn't better than Pele? Where did Pele spend his career? At the best teams, was he? Or did he play in dreadful South (and North)American Leagues all his life? And GARINCHA? Are you taking the piss, mate? By the way, of course Maradona was a cheat, but I'm not talking about the most professional players, I'm talking about players who make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck when they have the ball at their feet.
