How to wire an Acetek 12 Volt Dusk to dawn Photocell switch.

This short video shows the simple wiring of the Acetek dusk to dawn photocell switch. Operated from a 12 Volt power supply that could as easier been a battery, you can see the connections of the 3 wires as well as how it reacts to light. You will note that the power supply has a built in current limiting fused output as this is a requirment of these sensors. Enjoy.

These units draw 4.2ma during the day and 29ma during the night.

Do you know how much current the sensor draws especially in the on mode (without a light connected). Just wanting to know so I can find out how much battery loss I'll have because of the relay coil
