the supra IS a ripoff. the most overrated overpriced ricebox of all time.

The LS1 cars are faster stock (12.9s) and costs less

the Z06 costs the same and is twice as fast as the Supra.

and our cars look better.

and the LS engines handle MORE power (630 hp for LS and 600 for Supra)

and make MUCH more torque

@gmpushrodpower basic rule of them....its the cubic inches are higher and its a meant to be performance engine chances are its gonna be faster then a smaller engine with one less cylinder....you really have no clue what your talking about and no clue what a ricer is

I really don't care that much about it, I just think F-bodies are great cars for the bang-for-buck price and have been in a few that seemed to me to be incredibly fast and could snap your neck at will. If they were 100% stock or not, I don't know and don't care - fast is fast. Fastest car I was ever in ran 11.7@121 and I could not believe the power...

@NancyPelosi1954 NO! I used to own a sprayed till the rods bend Trans Am. Last we checked it made 600+ to the wheels (Using E85) on a stock bottom end with 150K on the engine. Guy that bought it off me kept spraying it, though only the first stage and it lasted till 2010, now I think it's got a snail and is sleeved. I miss that thing :(

@marcomariaz26 And you can't tell me that GM, any manufacturer for that matter, doens't hand pick a car to send to car reviewers that somehow make an extra 20+ HP because the person/machine that put them together, and ended up doing so by pure luck, "perfectly".

The most notorious of this as of recent was the SC cobalt SS and SRT-4 Neon which was proven to be already underrated by many owners who baselined their cars before tuning. And in the mags the cars were quicker yet!

@marcomariaz26 1/10th isn't splitting hairs in the 1/4. And a half second is a huge difference. That being the difference between a high 12s and a mid 13 second pass. That's the difference of 50hp, or going from Street Radials to a Drag Radial. Or a DR for cheaters. Also those alleged 12 second F bodies are all Factory freaks, most of them having the LS-6 intake making them "frankenstein" motors in terms of being factory stock.
