She was albanian, but she was also naturalized Indian due to her accepting Indian citizenship. The flag draping is a symbolic representation of honour which India accords to her, remember no ordinary person gets an honour like that. If you feel that honouring her is a mistake, ....., actually we don't care what you think.

Eventually the coffin is closed. In many cultures the body is allowed to lie in state. Mother Teresa's body was put under a glass cover and taken to various places before her funeral. Have you seen your video of JonBenet's grave?
