  • Thank you for being obedient to the Lord to bring His word in this impromptu sermon. I've just passed the one year mark of now being an ex-pastor/church planter's wife and single-mom to a toddler. Although painful to hear, I can relate to just about every topic you touched on. My hope and prayer is that these words will weigh heavy on the hearts of anyone considering or who already is a church planter/pastor. I can testify to becoming a statistic and I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

  • amazing video....a must watch for any pastor...

  • @RiddleTales OHH! that makes since. sorry, i was confused for a second. thanks for clearing it up:)

  • @Rabbit2197 He didn't say it was wrong for a woman to work. He said it was wrong for the man to be lazy. Its a heart issue.

  • Do yall think its wrong for a woman to have a job too? As in, the husband AND wife works?

  • I dont understand when he sais "get more. Find a way to make some of that other money your money." how does that work for their week schedual? Does it take much time to work a church plant? Does he expect them to do the church work in the evenings?

  • My Dad is a pastor and he sais "Look to the goodness of God and let him shape your mind" to stop me being angery and sad at bad things and be happy about stuff in the world essencially. I think that is what Ephesians call provoking your children to anger rather than instructing them in the ways of the Lord.

  • 46:13 great moment. Love how he shouts a bit whenhe sias "you created the... you created the ..." I think that's what my dad needs right now.

  • This is such an important message - not just for those in ministry, but also for people in general. Christ first, then spouse, then kids, then whatever line of work/ministry you are in, and all else falls under these things. Once the order is changed, death happens. True spritual and emotional and in just about every way, death. As the child of a leader of a church I can attest to the devastation in my family and the hatred my some of my siblings have for God and people due to an ungodly example

  • @mrbushpilot IT is but I just need to get over it and move on!

  • @savedbygrace1972 Thats sad. They don't really sound like Christians.

  • My husband and I were Church planters, he pastored a very smalll Church for 3 years. Our marriage nearly fell apart as a result, I had 4 miscarriages during this time, worked 50 hours a week babysitting kids just to make ends meet. My husband did a bunch of jobs. None of the momeber would do a thing no matter how much we begged them to. No money to the Church, no help. When we lost our last child, we didn't even get a kind word.
