Dear Sunshine. We did the same thing with an old ceramic jug, holding a mic. up to it. Al Bettis created that effect.. Thanks for lookin' for Boogie Blues.
@grasshopperkel I am guessing your Dad is either Al or Keith. Tell your father Mike Johnson said hello and I wish him the best. If you have a copy of this and want to post the B-side, Boogie Blues, we would love to see it. Thanks,
This band was comprised of Mike "Cadillac" Johnson , Ralph Nance, Keke McCullough, Al Betis, and Bill Boatman. We recorded this in 1966 in Houston, Tx. at ACA Studios down on Westhiemer. Bill Holford was the engineer, who had recorded many great Houston blues artists over the years, Bobby Bland, T-Bone Walker, Lightnin' and many others. All part of the Psychedelic music scene in the Houston area and were influenced by the 13th Floor Elevators and our friend Billy Gibbon's Moving Sidewalks
This is not the same band that did "Painted AIr". This band was from Houston, Texas. My dad was the guitarist. They had a reunion in Houston a few months ago. :)

@revlac100 Yeah, now that you mention it, I do hear the ceramic jug, a la Elevators. It's subtle yet groovy. Very good tune.
