"Ambien, Vicodin, Religion and Booze;
none of it works now, it looks like I lose . . ."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is about a wounded soldier who returns home from war. He soon discovers the memories of war are equal to the battles he has fought. He has sought temporary refuge in a run down Hotel. Here, he attempts to sort out what is left in the rubble of his mind..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

GHOSTS
I thought coming home was the key,
but I know now I left just a part of me.
Your eyes in the desert stare back at me now,
ghosts in my mind keep walking around.

I did this job as the people's son,
now I know what it is, as an Army of one.
What were you saying that day in the sand,
when I crossed that bridge to an unknown land.

I got hurt and they sent me home with my heart,
the VA they fixed me, said that was their part.
Ambien, vicodin, religion and booze,
desert eyes in the sand still haunt my dreams too.

You were just vengeance for the loss of my friends,
you were unarmed when I shot you dead.
Ambien, vicodin, religion and booze,
none of it works now it looks like we lose.

Water, food and a place to stay,
no thought of tomorrow,
it's just in the way.

Soon after that day I stopped loading my gun,
but it's too late for me,
the damage is done . . .
it's too late for me now, the damage is done.

I can't sleep at night 'till I take all my pills,
desert eyes in the sand stare back at me still.
Ambien, vicodin, religion and booze,
none of it works now it looks like I lose.

Two tours of duty, 26/39,
it's too late for me now,
the damage is done,
the killings all over, except for just one . . . . . . .

  • @Scotayy Hi! Thanks for watching. Enjoy Bryce. It's a lot of fun. Greg.

  • Very dramatic and effectively told story - the sound and music adds a lot to the telling as well. A lot of work to do this type of thing on your own - kudos!

  • @PhilW222 Thank You.greg.

  • Very atmospheric.

Hi! Hey, thanks for watching and your nice comments. I've done a little work in Vue a while back. Could not quite get the hang of it. I've recently purchased Carrara 8 Pro and as soon as I can find my way around it, I'm going to try an animation with it. Thanks, Greg.
