  • @steamboy51 The road number of this Bengal-Nagpur-Railways Garratt is 38811. You can also look for its pictures on the IRCA gallery.

  • what is the identification number of this locomotive? I recognize it as an "N" class, this is India's mysterious roving N class which I can never find the whereabouts or present condition of. Her number would be greatly appreciated.

    However, I must say there is an error in the title. It is "Garratt" and not "Garrett". These locomotives were built by Beyer-Peacock company of Manchester, and were also referred to as "Beyer-Garratt".
