What Are Waistbeads

Waistbeads are traditionally worn under the clothing and the reasons one wears waist beads varies throughout the many unique cultures that exist They are worn for femininity, protection, attraction, fashion, spirituality, rites of passage completion or just to be wearing another piece of jewelry. You don't' have to have a small waist to adorn yourself with waistbeads. They are worn by many different wombmen of varying cultures ages and sizes.

@theherdmentality brother/sister, i have built schools with my bare hands in zimbabwe, tended to orphan infants in at othandweni in south africa (as a teenager), rubbed my elders' tired feet swollen from working too many hours for people like jolie and clooney! my momma done built more than a few wells in ghana...DID YOU SEE ANY MEDIA COVERAGE?!! @jinalanguniafrika she isn't discarding african culture, because that seems to be the only thing she does take....i'm sick to the point of vomitting every time I watch tv seeing black americans celebrate their "africanness" in many ways, but when it comes to doing the REAL work in africa, the only hopes the africans have is in George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, and the other whites that spend their time and money helping those people, not just dressing up in their clothes and wearing their beads...
