  • MAN I MISS BEING A CATCHER... IM A LEFTEY SO NOW IM A 2ED BASEMAN

  • @Fyrebane and you watch the ball in its not right when he pitches you put your head down you react to the ball and watch it all the way in to you

  • @Fyrebane well you wont be seeing anything once the ball hits you in the throat.. keep the chin down or you can suffer some serious damage.

fire who ever is training your son

  • Hmm..my son gets lessons from an ex-pro..and he says keep your face up. How can you see where the ball is going to bounce if you dont keep your head up?

  • although you may have a seperate form than him, we can all see that this catcher has progressed very much in life as well as baseball with his current form. there are many kinds forms in the catching position such as your "W" or the "V" as the most common 2, with minorities in the feild such as the "Duck" form used by ivan rodriguez and many more. Just because you use the "W" form doesnt mean that this is the best form to use. Each catcher has his own form favorite, and should be left alone.

  • @gandolfthedavid my coach played AAA baseball and goes to pro camps to learn and change his own teachings... i know hes teaching me the right thing.... THE "W" makes it easier to mive and recover. i may be a "child" but i basically work with pros and know what im talking about when the topic is catching

  • @jacob12721 child, this man knows what he is doing, and should enjoy no criticiing from an amature, whom i gauruntee has no experince at all in any sort of professional catching, nor coaching.

  • @samage1216 rather have it ricochet somewhere in front or side rather in the back where runners will advance more likley

  • @jacob12721 if they're in a w, then if the ball hits his shin it will ricochet way off to the side rather than in front of you.
