In this video, Lindy Hop instructor, Teresa Egan, teaches a few basic steps from the original swing dance with dance partner, Tucker Jones. This video is designed for new Lindy Hoppers and will teach you the basic step as well as a few other moves. By the end of the video, you will be Lindy Hopping with a complete dance sequence!

  • Totally! I have dance lesson and need to create some of my own steps! Great load of help this video was!

  • There is a dance called "Jittrerbug" but the word is also a catch all term for all swing dances. The dance from Harlem she describes IS Lindy Hop. Lindy Hop contains both six and eight counts. The other swing dances (with some exeptions suc as "Balboa") get their insiration from Lindy Hop who in turn gets its inspiration from Charleston.
