Welcome back to Clevver Games everyone I'm your host Andrea Rene and according to the Los Angeles Times, another Mortal Kombat movie is in the works! Yippee! No seriously, I'm sure guys know I'm a big Mortal Kombat fan and would love to see a new take on the series.

Warner Brothers and New Line Cinema are teaming up to start production next year with a planned 2013 release date. Kevin Tancharoen will direct following his success with online web series Mortal Kombat Legacy. Kevin originally caught Warner's eye with his fan film Mortal Kombat: Rebirth.

Similar to his Legacy series, Kevin plans to take a more realistic approach to the fantasy fighting game unlike the other Mortal Kombat movies released back in the 90s. No casting choices have been made but I'm sure we'll see some crossover from the Legacy series, and the budget is estimated to be around $100 million dollar.

The plan is to release the movie around the same time the next Mortal Kombat game is launched, which NetherRealm has yet to give any details about. What do you guys think? Oh another thing, have more fatalities, stage fatalities and add more special moves. And don't base the movie off of 1 specific character. It should be a tournament just like in the game. Honestly I'd like to see them just reboot the series. I feel that some characters were thrown into the movies too quickly and defeated too easily.

I think Vin Diesel should play as Scorpion. Because he has the same skin color as him and are both built the same and I am sure Vin Diesel could match Scorpions catch phrase "GET OVER HERE".
