5 Bonds - 19 Films - Over 30 Years..
As a spy Bond is constantly reinventing himself, and on the big screen he has done this five times, as Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. The documentary looks at the different characterizations each actor has brought to the role to discover the elements that make up Bond. It also traces the character back to its origin, the Bond novels by Ian Fleming, whose creation was semi-autobiographical. From the gadgets to the girls, The James Bond Story also features interviews with Q (the late Desmond Llewelyn), Maud Adams, Jane Seymour, Terence Young (Director), Cubby Broccoli (Producer), Ian Fleming and more, along with extensive film clips from Dr. No to The World is Not Enough. This action-packed documentary presents an in-depth look at the quintessential spy who has a license to kill.
(Does not contain 'Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig)

  • This series was good, but didn't mention the MUSIC. CMON. RIP John Barry. Imagine Bond WITHOUT THE MUSIC.

  • @TheRealCritique Yep I agree but hopefully soon I will be uploading the Music of 007 Doc

  • I have to wonder who made this docummentary. All that stuff about the books and then a load of people saying Lazenby and Dalton were the worst portrayals of the character. Anyone who's read the books will know that Dalton was by far the best portrayal of Flemming's Bond. And while Lazenby isn't much of an actor, OHMSS was one of the most faithful adaptations.

  • Timothy Dalton was a good bond!

  • craig proved them all wrong especially the blonde one who commented on tim dalton

  • @bnsf261 I agree

  • The problem isn't presenting Bond as a three dimensional character but it's tough to find the right balance between an action hero and a thinking/feeling person. It takes just the right script, the right director, and, of course, the right actor. I think Craig has done an incredible job mixing Bond's nearly-superhuman abilities with a certain level of vulnerability.

  • @mvfF1Fanatic I agree with you :)

  • Stupid blonde woman! I'm glad she's not in charge of Bond otherwise she would have vetoed Casino Royale. I think there's a bit of human emotion from Bond in there!

  • @belgeode

yes it sucks because he would have been the Bond of the late 80's. I just a kid in the 80's but I remember when Bronson had the Bond role and then Remington Steele decided they wanted another season. They cancelled the RS series after a few episodes.

  • My list of best bond actors: 1 Sean Connery: the first and the best he was the best bond!!! 2 Timothy Dalton: for me the only bond that came close to being the best really underated wish he did more bond films pity!! 3: Roger Moore brilliant charm to the role he was a good bond for his time!! 4 pierce Bronson overated bond nothing special was good in goldeneye but that's it!! 5 George lazenby was not bad deserved another film!! 6 Daniel craig nothing brillant average!!!!

  • I really wish Die Another Day was a good movie, Brosnan would have a four out of four

  • @12skolvikings I agree. Remington Steele had him by the balls there... They knew they had the next Bond and wanted to milk him for as much as they could get before he took on the OFFICIAL Bond role for EON.

  • @HappyDay989 Well I never been too crazy about Craig, but hes a new face.I will boldly say Quatum of Solice was a disappointment for me.
