My teacher and friend Mike Martello Laoshi, 05.10.1966 - 02.06.2009. He was a very generous, warm hearted, wise and honest person, also a Martial Arts Prodigy. I met him in 2006 and he convinced me that white people can be top notch at Kung Fu. But then again, he was more Chinese than many Chinese.
Thank you Laoshi, for those inspiring years. You changed my life.

  • 8 months and you still cannot spare 30 seconds to tell me who sings this version.....

    :(

"Nature Boy" is a song by Eden Ahbez, published in 1947. The song tells a fantasy of a "strange enchanted boy... who wandered very far" only to learn that "the greatest thing... was just to love and be loved in return". Nat Cole's 1948 recording of the song was a major hit, and "Nature Boy" has since become a pop and jazz standard, with dozens of major artists interpreting the song.

This version should be from Ella Fitzgerald & Joe Pass

  • He was truly gifted; one of the greatest. He was humble, and wise, very powerful but also gentle. I'm very grateful to have trained with him briefly. Rest in peace Mike.
