Do these tanks come as a kit that you have to build, and does yours have a smoke generator?

You can choose if it comes as a kit or ready-to-run, and YES my tank does have a smoke gen but I rarely use it.

did you know for that money you could get a proper tank it would be a light tank and you would have to in port it

Yes I know but it's not a King Tiger nor I have the space to keep a real tank at home (although I would love to)
