Muslims prove themselves to be the true followers of the Prophet (S.A.W.). Paying highest respect to the last Prophet is the basic faith. The slightest disinclination towards the Prophet (S.A.W.) and his disrespect knowingly or unknowingly through connivance or openly, destroys a Muslim's entire faith (iman). Milaad-un-Nabi is celebrated for creating love and respect of the Prophet (S.A.W.) and through him the love and respect of Allah Almighty, the only Creator and Sustainer of the world.

jalaluddeen as suyuti radhi allahu anhu a very famous muhaddith of his time respected by sunni and wahabi. he says milad is a bida but it is a good bida proving that their is such a thing called good bida which is known as bida hasana. but the wahabi heart is sealed he/she does not see the truth no matter even if it comes from the mouth of jaluddeen as suyuti rahmatullah alaih.

KULLU BID`AH! KULLU DHALALAH!

Aatif1030 i would recommend that you read majmu fatawa ibn taymiyyah volume 23 page 16, where your putative Wahhabi forefather ibn taymiyyah even said that the milad is a celebrated season. So why don't you even follow your own scholars? ('asshole')
can you please come back with a reply. If you do not follow ibn taymiyyah then who do you follow? Bin Baaz? He was the guy who said that the earth is flat!!! ha ha ha ha . You twat.

can you tell me where exactly does it say to celebrate the "birthday" of the prophet, islam is very simple and clear, there is no solid evidence, stop blind following brelvi imaams and start looking into things yourself

oh asshole this come from the times of the prophet when he landed to madina the ansar did this....dont you dare say this is shaytanic you know you fools dont have this courage and jasba to show deen to people coz you are scared that people will make you embaress yourself...ashole be quiet...
If only your 'type' (thankfully your numbers are dwindling and the people of love are still going strong) focused on the texts which increase one in love for the beloved Prophet (SAW) as opposed to lower in rank then you too would see the blessings in this unquestionable act of obedience. Don't be a sheep - if you are really in genuine doubt, why not seek counsel in Allah by performing Salatul Istikhara? .... and Allah guides whom He wills.

Final word: there is the prophetic saying as stated in Sahih Muslim, which is known to even the common Muslims, let alone the scholers: "He who inaugurates a good practice (sanna fi al-Islam sunnatun hasana) in Islam earns the reward of it, and of all who perform it after him, without diminishing his own reward in the least". Therefore it is permissible for a Muslim to originate a good practice, even if the Prophet (SAW) did not do it, for the sake of doing good and cultivating the reward.

It seems that you have already been brainwashed by the misguided salafi/wahabi scholars who themselves introduced a new 'bida' way of thinking whilst attempting to reduce the love of the Prophet (SAW). Remember that having 'excessive' love for Allah and his Messenger (SAW) is a precondition of faith as stated in numerous Koranic verses and Ahadith.

Remember that 'innovation' is any act done without previous patterns and is of many different types. If the act has no roots in religious law it is called innovation, if it has roots within religious laws it is not innovation. If this was not the case then many traditional and modern day practices would fall foul of your narrow view of this hadith. See all those points mentioned already, aswell as the use of audio visual equipment, building beautiful mosques, driving cars, even using YOU TUBE!

#4 - The addition to the Tashahhud by Ibn Masud. After "wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu", and the Mercy of Allah and Blessings, Ibn Masud (RA) used to say "as-salamu alayna min rabbina (peace upon us from our Lord). Narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir, and the narrators are those of the sound transmitters, as it has been mentioned in Majma al-Zawaid.

Salutations on the Prophet (SAW) taught by our Master Ali (RA). There are many narrations that Ali (RA) taught new salutation not taught by the Prophet (RA) before him.
