Fred Wedlock - The Hippies and the Hairies-o

One of the greatest Fred Wedlock songs in my opinion!

Sadly Fred Wedlock died today (4th March 2010) aged 67, so I feel it is timely to share some of his great songs with the world. He'd recorded more than 20 albums of his trademark humorous folk music.

hehe, pretty crazy thing happened here.. I just settled down to do some soldering and put on my recently bought Planxty album.. the first song that played was 'Raggle Taggle Gypsy', I soon recognised the tune :D

I love being young and discovering these things :)

This is one of my favourite Fred songs... not heard it in ages, but a brilliant modern take on Raggle Taggle Gypsies. So sorry to learn of his death. We need a campaign to get him to number one! Now that would be something!!
