She rushed that take-off of the lutz and the flip at the beginning...probably due to nerves...she had the jumps...Still nice to watch.

@hydrolito This is not necessarily true. If muscle weight is added it can make it easier to do the jumps. Sasha is much smaller than all of the skaters that you mentioned. I also seriously doubt that Tonya was only 105 when she did her triple axels. She looks closer to 115 or 120 to me. Muscle weight is decieving.

That was quite unfortunate for Sasha to fall on her first two jumps. After those falls her program was clean! Tough break!!!

@pelicanus11 Yeah but extra weight makes it to hard to do the jumps. What figure skater who wasn't thin won the nationals or olympics? Tonya Harding was about 105 lbs when she did her triple axels. Nancy kerrigan about 110 when she won the Olympic Silver. Oksana Baiul even less when she won the gold.

Sasha is beautiful and sensational! Too bad about the falls but she earned her silver medal with beautiful skating. She was head and shoulders above everyone at the time when it comes to artistry and spirals. Thank you COP for recognizing TRUE talent.

How was Slutskaya robbed? She only landed 4 triples as to Sasha's 5. Slutskaya's program was also extremely robotic and her presentation seemed forced.

One of the best COP era programs ever. Had she skated clean, this program could have been legendary.
