@bfiane it looks like a hyundai design....but BMW has competely changed their design language from 7 SERIES and when ADRIAN VAN HOOYDONK took over from CHRIS BANGLE....
now sportiness is gone...and more of BUSINESS CLASS like styling has been adopted.....which will be not in the likes of many people....but i love....it's a BMW....:)

@bfiane actually the first time i've seen the new e-klasse, i thought it looks like a hyundai sonata. looks like everyone hates that car.
I find this 5 series to look better than the old one.
The m5 will suck balls and will ruin the whole m5 legacy, since it will be turbocharged. That's the real problem.

Drive an E30 myself and I love the older sharknose design, but this new 5 just looks like another toyota to me

R.I.P. BMW

The 2008 550i Sport I drove looked like M5 and I like the 19" rims better, no SMG though.
B7 with 22" was more car than 550i by far.
I think 335 looking good now 06 is $25k.
B7 is + $60k used.

yeah.. i ithink that the e46 is based on e39 but e39 was a styling revultion couse it looked diffrent... something like e65 and f01... you can tell its bmw in the first look but its diffrent
-
no its the other way around... e34 is based on the e30 while it was made at the same time as e36...

What i would like to know i what the next gen 3 series is going to look like. Because the 3 usually follows the 5's design but this five looks so much like the current 3.
the previous 5 series was SO distinct. You'd see it and it was unmistakable. This just blends in almost looks like a f***** hyundai sonata

I think your right. The lineup design changed with the e30, then the e36. But the e46 seems to be the exception. BMW didnt seem to follow the e46 design. Now they all look like the e90.
