LITTLE ROCK -- Governor Mike Beebe today announced that Arkansas high-school graduates with financial need can now receive up to $1,000 per year to help pay for college under a new grant program.
The GO! Opportunities Grant is the first state-funded college grant program in Arkansas based solely on financial needs. Qualifying freshmen who are full-time students can receive $1,000 a year, and part-time students can receive $500 a year. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 grade-point average and certify that they are drug-free.
