Well, it's like this: This piece was originally not intended as a separate song, therefore the name in the OST was derived from the respective scene where the main character points at the young models and says: Bring down the birds (meaning: girls). The scene can therefore be described as: "Bringing down the birds". Hence the confusion. The 7'' release however bears a title "Bring down the birds"

i dont often blindly trust wikipedia , seeing that most of what is written there is by average people , like us , who make mistake or guess, but on this i do agree , the song IS "Bring Down The Birds" ... however , on this compilation disk ( Funk on Film: 70's Screen Scene Funk) it's listed as "Bringing..." , and since i was posting the entire album , i thought it best to stick with their mistaken ( or reinterpreted ) title for this posting .
