Angles are much better than the TENKAI palm. Its almost like index hold, where you display the palm from a side, and the coin is held with the index behind the middle finger?? well... the angles are almost identical to that position.
So if you are uncomfortable doing TENKAI, you will might be with this technique. Although it's possible to do this surrounded, just turn your body a little bit and people wil be forced to be on the correct angle :)
