This is JT at his very best. Carlos Vega plays "cajon" and the result is a classic live performance of a brilliant tune. Enjoy !!!
Ron,
this clip is from an as-yet unreleased concert "VH-1 Storytellers", recorded in 1997 in NY. I originally posted the full version of this track but Viacomcorp objected and youtube took it down. All that remains is this truncated version.
There's another clip from this show which you will find at:-

Watch and enjoy !

Kind regards
Ken

  • Sorry for the short length of this video. I have the full version (I have most of the concert, too). However, this is my first ever upload and I wanted to test out a DvD-MP4 convertor. (Cont'd)

  • I loved Carlos Vega more than any drummer i ever saw. early 79-80s ? I mean Vinnie C your the shit and Tony and Billy and Chester and Simon and Peart and Buddy all ya all prolly would agree...props bows and groveling, but.. In the early 80s when I was a teenager I would go see C V play w the L.A. latin allstars and man, you know you were in the audience and his vibe was just beyond. He could cut loose and it was like a waterfall of unbelievable
