I love teasing Ofer MizraChi www.OferMizraChi.smugmug.com about how healthy he eats. (secretly I do envy him because I need to be eating this same way) His nephew ordered white bread but I KNEW Ofer was thinking,"No, no, no order dark grain or rye. Brown Bread, Brown Bread, Brown Bread." I was right;) Ofer would like for everyone to eat healthy brown bread just like he does, because it's better for you!

It's a good thing though. I want to learn how to eat like he does because he does everything the right way! I have been eating his diet exactly and have never felt better and actually LOST weight on this vacation(11 pounds). The Mediterranean Diet is the most healthy way to eat in the world, that's what Dr. Oz says. But still, it's fun to tease Ofer and give him a hard time...plus it makes his nephew Alon laugh! We visited the Museum Of The Jewish People in Tel Aviv and had a little lunch there and that is the place where we had a few laughs....

  • @zenwaveofbliss thats beautiful dana!

  • East Hills is where Marie Catrib's, etc is (West of Easttown). So down the Wealthy a bit is ROWSTER New American Coffee (I adore them!) . It's at Wealthy & James (?) Art of the Table is just a couple doors going toward downtown away from ROWSTER. Next door to ROWSTER is Nourish Organic Market and next door to that is Jonny B'z hotdogs (Waaay better than Yesterdog imo!)

PS...my mom's dad was a Lithuanian Jew! Even though I was raised a Christian, we are well aware of the Feast Days - fun!

  • @zenwaveofbliss Tell me about it Dana...where are the East Hills??? No I have not been there yet. It was so funny when the dark bread came out because his nephew is like "I ordered white bread" Ofer says well, do you want to exchange it? His nephew was hungry and said no he'd eat it. This was just so funny to me because I have learned about Ofer. he wants everyone in the world healthy and strong! Ofer does have Jedi Mind Power by the way;)

  • Ofer had Jedi mind powers! *lol* Katrina was just saying yesterday how she misses the food she had in Greece!

Kim, have you been to Nourish Market in East Hills yet? Pricey but YUM! And many of their foods are local!
