We were coming in from a great day fishing out about 40 miles offshore. At about 8 miles off Ponce Inlet we got caught in a severe thunderstorm with 60+ mph winds and tornadoes. The seas went from 2 ft to 8-12 ft in seconds! I thought the wind would blow us over and we got airborn many times. I had to corner the waves just right to not get pounded going head on and not get flipped broadside. My 26 ft Worldcat held up great even with waves towering over the T-top. My nav system got us to where I could see the lighthouse and from there we were able to power through the inlet and into the smooth river. I give all the credit to the angels that pulled us through...
