well as a Marine I guess I can see where you are coming from as far as the pagentry, but as someone who went from 21 some odd years enlisted in the Marines to Physician's assistant in the Army, now a Captain in the Army. I hated the pagentry of the Marine corps and the do more with less attitude is tough especially once you have dealt with it for a while. But bureaucracy is definitly way worse in the army. I deal with soldiers all day long and frankly I hate the lack of discipline that...

The American way and our strength is to not be Nazi fascists but to get the voluntary and thinking co-operation of our people so ALL OF THE FACTS are considered and the BEST ideas put into action. Suggest you start employing some persuasive leadership and get your men believing in the mission and your leadership personally instead of demanding tyranthood.

I enjoy hearing how the USMC says they were the first to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq. US Army Special Forces, Delta Force, Rangers, Navy SEALs have pretty much been the first to fight in the last couple of decades if you ask me. The Marines haven't even been members of SOCOM until 2005. That tells you something right there. MARSOCs still has to be paired with Army ODAs on its missions. As an Army guy, I still think we need the Marines. The Army is getting TOO soft, sensitive and poltical.

I love the Marines. They have fought and died for our country just like the Army. However, I love the Army a hell of a lot more! I have never been a huge fan of the Marines. Everybody just sucks in the Marine Propaganda. They think the Army is a fuckin' joke. It's not! What pisses me off is that people just hype up the Marines soooo much. They are not that great. Just because they have a 12 week basic training compared to 9 weeks doesn't mean it is better. Fuck Marine lies. Army all the way!

Excellent. But remember, 1st US Victory in the Pacific was Battle of Milne Bay, land battle in New Guinea with US Army artillery and ANZAC forces fighting Japanese amphibious force in mid 1942.

In WW1, US 1st ID, 1st full division to arrive and 1st to engage in combat battle of Cagtany in May 1918. In Mexican War, US Army under Gen. Scott, made the first major amphibious landing in Vera Cruz with 14,000 soldiers. LT Pickett, 1st to storm walls of Montezuma.

As a 10 year 3rd generation Army veteran I want to say that this was an awesome presentation of a truth that I have tried to convey to many without success. The outdated model of the Marines is coming to light in congress which is starting to understand the "High cost, Small return" of the marine branch as a whole. The NAVY would benefit directly from the budget share that the marines are presently awarded. marines attend Army schools more than they want to admit to anyone. Thanks! HOOAH!

I hate to say this, but this video is right, I love Army history and I have study all this events, they all right on point, the US ARMY is the first on the fight, NAVY SEALS GOT A brake on the Osama mission., thanks to them our ARMY SPECIAL FORCES spend a little more time with their families, CUDOS TO THE SEALS.

I'm in high school and I'm surrounded by un informed people everyday who want to join the Marine Corps. Every one of them has no respect for the other branches, especially the army! Fucken disgraceful. When I told them i wanted to join the army they said " a monkey could join the army" and "marines make the army look like babies". Oh yeah? Say it to a veteran then. Now I'm seeing these bozos claim Marine Raiders were the first SOF, and Marines are better skilled than Rangers! INSANE!
