The Ammunition Holding Area- or AHA on US Army base-Falcon in Baghdad, Iraq was inadvertantly struck by hostile incoming fire on November 10, 2006.
What I find comical is all the press (mostly in the ignorant Muslim community) that places the death toll anywhere from 300 to thousands.... hahaha. What a bunch of hashish smoking, camel humpin', ragheads!!!!!
They never cease to amaze me with their pitiful attempt at propaganda.
So you can chose to listen to the cowardly Hajji crackheads if you'd like. However, for your information- not one single person was killed here that night!!!
This is a hasty, yet quite impressive compilation of some of the larger explosions occuring over a period of hours that night.
Aside from the scattered debris strewn about for miles- the only major damage was to the Army Contractor's living area where many of their trailers burned to the ground.
Ohhhhh, way to go guys... you destroyed a trailer park!!!

  • @Rickyrab Among the structures that got gored that night (the Black Tom explosion was around 2 in the morning) were Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, the photos I've seen of the aftermath were vague and sketchy, and apparently nobody back in 1916 bothered to snap anything of the explosion itself. I guess Fob Falcon of ninety years later will have to do. lol.

  • I came here indirectly looking for a sense of what the Black Tom explosion of July 30, 1916, looked like. That was an act of sabotage by the Germans, who were blowing shit up because they didn't want the WWI Allies to get munitions. It started with a bunch of small fires, and then came a blast so large that it was the equivalent of a 5.5 earthquake. The skies are said to have turned orange, the explosions lasted all night, and debris was hurled at least a mile. Windows shattered 25 mi away.

  • I was here when this happened! This was the scariest event of my life!

  • I was listed dead on here, but in reality there were no casualties.

  • I was on AHA guard when that shit happened. Scariest shit I've ever been through. A Co 704 4ID

  • @EnjoiYourLoss It was an Indian (TCN) that hurt himself running into a concrete bunker. I felt really bad for those guys, the fire destroyed their whole living area, those guys lost all of their belongings, but went right back to cleaning the fob a week later.

  • @calakinene lol holy crap, I was there too, but my birthday was the 9th.

  • It was actually 10 Oct 2006, I remember that night well, because it was my birthday.

  • I am a PA and was there that night. There were only 2 people who got hurt. One had a sandbag fall on his chest while he was sleeping and an Iraqi cut his face because he ran into something. No freeking cover up, no hundreds of casualties, all of this conspiracy talk is a bunch of crap. If you read something on the web that suggests otherwise, it's just someone trying to stir up something.

  • We were patroling market when this happened and couldnt re-enter the fob cuz it was shut down so we went to the doghouse on redwingz and ended up @ prosperity after that...good times! The list of casualties had my friend on it, but in reality, there was none, which is a total leg puller from the 300 reported in the news...
