@roscoegino in fact he was the one he had the idea that the bee gees should sing 1 octave higher. and they had success with that. before there werent singing those high pitched notes.

YES, it IS the same Arif Mardin that worked with Chaka Khan, and Aretha franklin, Dusty Springfield, Bee Gees, Phil Collins, Bette Midler, Hall & Oates, Jewel, and Norah Jones to name a few. I used to work for Mr. Mardin actually. This is off his own artist album: Journey

He also produced Norah Jones' first two CDs, "Pick up the Pieces" by Average White Band, "Wind Beneath my Wings" Bette Midler. I had the pleasure of working with him and his son Joe. Geniuses are best when they are sincere and kind.
