Each foot contains 26 bones (some say 28 bones), 33 joints, and more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. These bones are: the talus, which connects to the tibia at the ankle; the calcaneus, which forms the heel; the navicular, cuboid, and three cuneiforms (medial, intermediate, and lateral) which form the middle of the foot; the five metatarsals, which radiate out to the toes; and 14 Phalanges (2-3-3-3-3), which form the toes. Basically 1/8th of the body's bones; 1/6th of the bodies muscle are in the foot. How much time do you spend preparing your feet for play?

  • Hey, so what should my minimum height be if i wanna be able to slam dunk ?

  • i doubt anyone under 5 ft can dunk if im wrong id love to see sum1 4'9 dunk lol sallest person i know personnally who dunks is 5'10 hes 17 but look at spud webb and nate robinson so who knows

  • anything is possible... let each one determine their own limits...

  • heart not height is the key to your dunking power...how tall are you in your heart? go get that rim!

  • @akamola i have 2 former teammates that can windmill with ease. 1 is 5'6" the other is 5'8"

  • If you do not continue to get better --- your natural gifts will become old news fast...work hard- work smart!

  • Oh you said some people are natural jumpers and some have to work on it. Can a hard worker catch up to a natural?

  • Well I'm not gonna doubt that doing this would help your vert because just doing strength/flexibility work on your ankles can add 2-4 inches

  • @shabadoo10 I dunked at 5'3" but i think i was a natural jumper so and that was at 17 as a junior in High school no joking but I doubt it gets shorter than that. I agree it sounds crazy but i think if you have the calf muscles , the strength , and the determination to dunk you possibly can make it. Oh yeah, im now 5'7" but have a 6'5" wingspan so lol I guess long arms helped lol.
