@ivoryshipping heck ya it would have. Ill take my zj all day long against any of those. lets see an AWD subaru do this, look up woody1594 jeep wrangler stuck. I know its not that huge but was my first time wheeling and pulling someone out. BTW I have a 2.5 BB teraflex and had a front aussie locker until I somehow broke it. back to an open diff. also you can not beat a solid front axle off road. IFS is for wussys that only venture through there back yard. the ZJ is mine btw YJ is 6" lift

fyi most of those are not 4x4. they're AWD. Big difference. 4x4 has the option when you want to put it in 4wd the awd is always on and you have no control also there is a decent difference from 4x4 with manual and auto tc . So if you see a big mud pit or a huge snow drift your AWD will only kick in when the tires slip which is not what that is why I'll keep my JEEP ZJ with the 242 TC that I can put in 4 Wheel Drive and go through anything until i bottom out and it is just sitting on the frame

Subaru has the best AWD system. Thats a fact and they didnt have the XT which gets from 0-100km/hr in 6.0s. Its probably got the least body roll, very comfortable and excellent off the road (it even has a LSD). How is it not an offroader? It has 50/50 split torque not that crappy front wheel drive until slip like all the other compacts SUVs. 5 Star safety rating and reliable. My girl has been through 300,000km of hell and still going. I would like to see the others do that. The Subaru is best!!

@granturismofan111 but it isnt. it may have the best onroad awd system but not offroad (nissan and hyundai beat it there, both with real fulltime 4wd and massive clearance) it has shitty engine, not as reliable as people think, not safe to crash with, pathetic trunk. it's just a bigger subaru impreza. awesome to drive, nothing else.
